Antenna Magus 2019.2 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Antenna Magus Version 2019.2. This release sees the addition of six new antennas as well as various other extensions and improvements, bringing the total number of antennas and transitions to 347

The three new antennas are:

  • Square Slotted Dual-band Patch Antenna
  • Wire Curl Antenna
  • Plano-Convex Hyperbolic Lens
  • Positive Meniscus Elliptic Lens
  • Traveling-wave series-fed patch array antenna with inset-fed patch
  • Microstrip to Slotline Transition

The new extensions are:

  • The design of the Combline Stub Array has been updated to design for a normal (perpendicular to the feedline) orientation of the stubs, in addition to the existing 45-degree (slant) design.
  • CST Studio Suite export models for connectors have been updated to include ports and anchor points. Furthermore, anchor points in all CST Studio Suite export models have been linked to a working coordinate system (WCS).

Antenna Magus 2019.1 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Antenna Magus Version 2019.1. This release sees the addition of three new antennas as well as various other extensions and improvements, bringing the total number of antennas and transitions to 341

The three new antennas are:

  • Series-fed 3 by 3 rectangular patch array
  • Printed Multilayer Dipole Array
  • Stacked square-ring pin-fed patch

 

The new extensions are:

  • A new group of Transmission Line Calculators
  • Two variations of the UFL connector has been added to the Connector Library
  • Improvements to the Array Operators have been made
    • Two new surface shapes – conical and cylindrical – which are now supported in the Conformal operators goup
    • Default values are now automatically added to the Operator fields when an Operator is added

Antenna Magus 2018.2 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Antenna Magus Version 2018.2 which sees a number of small new features and improvements, as well as three new antennas.

Some of the highlights of this release are:

  • Three new antennas brings the total number of available antennas and transitions to 333.
  • Inline editing of distribution matrices in the Array Tool is now possible.
  • Anchor points have been added to CST STUDIO SUITE export models.
  • Dielectric coaxial inserts have been added to to all coaxial connectors in CST STUDIO SUITE export models.
  • New automotive specification group added to the Specification Chooser.

Antenna Magus Patch Version 2018.0.1 Available

A patch version (2018.0.1) for Antenna Magus has been made available for download from the Antenna Magus website.

Antenna Magus 2018.0 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Antenna Magus Version 2018.0 which sees a number of new features and improvements, as well as two new antennas.

Some of the highlights of this release are:

  • Over 325 antennas and transitions now available
  • Spatial Limitations can now be added as part of a specification. Antenna Magus will  determine whether the designed device will fit into the available space and which orientation will achieve the closest fit. The spatial limitations are graphically shown together with the bounding box of the device in order to visualise whether the device fits within the limits or not
  • Trace Names for 2D Radiation plots have been standardized to be in terms of ? and ?, in accordance with the Spherical Coordinate System and will simplify comparison of different devices in the Compare Window.
  • To aid the user in using Toolbox Calculators, the objective fields in all Toolbox Calculators are now pre-populated with default values.
  • In addition to the recently added zoom function in the model preview, it is now also possible to pan the preview model.
  • A planar triangular array has been added to the Array Calculator.

We are pleased to announce the release of Antenna Magus Version 2017.3 which sees a number of small new features and improvements, as well as three new antennas.

Some of the highlights of this release are:

  • Three new antennas focusing on Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) bringing the total number of available antennas and transitions to 324
  • Improvements on existing antenna designs and export models, e.g. all offset reflectors can now also be designed for focal length to projected reflector diameter ratio.
  • Colour Picker allowing the user to change the colour associated with a design.
  • Compare Window allowing the comparison of designs for different devices.
